This incredible Horse set a remarkable record as the first racehorse to win the Kentucky Derby, Preakness Stakes, and Belmont Stakes (the US triple crown) without a prior defeat.

However, what really set Seattle Slew apart from other horses was its resilience as it battled back from illnesses that could have ended its life. Winx

There are few horses quite like Winx as she successfully broke records with ease. For instance, she holds the enviable honor of winning 25 Grade/Group 1 races, a feat that was deemed a world record and has so far never been replicated.

Her efforts have seen her inducted into the Australian Racing Hall of Fame, an honor she received while still in training, thereby becoming only the third Horse in history to do it.

In addition to her stellar race record, she won four consecutive Cox Plate runs and also won the Australian Horse of the Year in four straight years between 2015-2019.

Al Jabal

Al Jabal might not have had the same glittering career as some of the other horses on this list, but it's record as the oldest Horse to ever win a high-level race still stands till today.It was a member of the Arab Chestnut Gelding and is one of the most memorable racehorses today.  Al Jabal performed this feat in 2002 when it won the Three horseshoes Handicap Stakes. Al Jabal was born way back in 1983.

Secretariat

For many, Secretariat is the greatest racehorse to have ever lived, and it is easy to see why. Born in 1970, by the time it was 3, it took the American racing scene by storm with a slew of scintillating wins. It later gained the nickname ‘Big Red’ and dominated in a way that had never been seen before.

For instance, Secretariat won the Belmont Stakes by a frankly ridiculous 31 lengths, a record that has never been replicated. While there have been other Triple Crown winners, none holds a candle to Secretariat. To further cement its cult status, Secretariat also won American Horse of the Year in both 1972 and 1973. Finally, Secretariat breathes rarified air as only the 13th Horse to win over $1 million in prize money after winning the Marlboro cup.
